Sky Sunlight Saxon doubtless one of the most significant figures of 1960s underground and counterculture, inventor of Flower Power, Garage Punk & Psychedelia, mastermind of cult legends L.A. band the Seeds again infiltrates the stratosphere with A Poetry Of Love - beyond his tragic death in the year 2009. Tragically Sky Saxon was often seen as one of the lost mad freaks from the 60s, a victim of drug abuse and induced craziness. We must strictly deny this - and instead must stress that Sky Saxon was one of the most creative, productive and influential artists of the last 50 years. Sky Saxon inspired countless bands - like the Doors, the Stooges or the Ramones to name just a few - over the last decades and so planted the seeds of psychedelic underground music until today. Late 2008 Sky Saxon teamed up with "Europe´s Number 1 Psychedelic Rock Band"; Vibravoid, to work on the idea of a new project: "Thee Supermen/Superwomen Band". Six hours of material were recorded over a period of just 2 weeks to be sorted and finished while Sky´s next trip to Germany. Sadly fate did not make this happen and the recordings presented here are probably Sky Saxon´s last real studio recordings and taken straight from these sessions in Dusseldorf, December 2008. If you listen to the recordings you will easily understand why Sky Saxon chose the Vibravoid from Dusseldorf to lay down some of the best tracks of his career. A lot of that what characterizes the Kosmische Musik from this place can be found here and gives a new dimension to Sky´s legacy. The tracks are authentic documents of a free artistic spirit, a spontaneous creativeness and the testament of Sky Saxon´s artistic work. Sky´s very own but natural world is presented here - naked and innocent. It is not meant as the final album by this great artist, it is a snapshot of a very special moment.
